Grow in your practice, enhance your skills, and further your career in an advanced training program designed to fit your needs.
Our advanced training will provide you with the skills you need to succeed as a modern yoga teacher. With an emphasis on adaptive yoga and specialized study, our courses help you learn to make your teaching accessible to all students. Our core courses will teach you the most fundamental skills and knowledge, specialization courses allow you to refine these skills for unique populations and styles of yoga, and our mentoring courses allow you to deeply explore topics that are meaningful to you.
The modular, course-based model of our advanced training allows you to choose the courses that interest you and fit your schedule. We value personal instruction and community and include these as fundamental components of all of our training courses.
During times of social distancing, Yoga Alliance has approved all registered programs for virtual learning. We are continuing to offer quality teaching through live video classes and online courses, and all scheduled trainings will continue as planned.

Modular Advanced Training
Our program is designed to allow you to choose training dates and topics that fit your goals for your practice, teaching, and career. Our training is divided into three main course types:
A key component of our advanced training program, this unique offering gives you the chance to be guided in your personal practice and as a teacher, guided by a yoga therapist. Each 20-hour course will include group and personal time with your teacher designed to nourish and inspire you, supported by your mentor and fellow teachers. Topics in these courses will include philosophy, skills, and wisdom customized to each small group.
The courses focus on knowledge and skills that form the core of a strong advanced yoga education. Topics in these courses include teaching methodology, advanced anatomy, adaptive yoga, and advanced yogic philosophy. These courses are 40 hours each, and will be offered over intensive weeks, sometimes in a retreat format.
These courses focus on areas of expertise that are more selective and specific, such as trauma-informed yoga, yoga for specific groups, or specialty styles of yoga like Yin and Restorative. These courses are 20 hours each, offered over weekends.
Retreats and Personal Instruction
Some courses will be offered in retreat format, offered in the San Antonio area or other destinations. You also have the option for some hours to be completed by meeting one-on-one with a faculty member or completing an apprenticeship program.
