Asana Refinement

Focus on individual postures that allows the teacher to refine their own practice while learning detailed anatomy and practice of yoga postures. Work with your mentor to break down how to practice and teach postures so that you can fine-tune your understanding of the physical practice of yoga. Learn how you can support students in their physical goals, including how to plan personal practices and help students with manual adjustments.

Trauma-Sensitive Teaching

After taking our general trauma-sensitive course, learn more about the specific populations you want to serve by working one-on-one with a yoga therapist and mentor. We'll work together to design practices and adapt your language to best serve those you want to teach.

Professional Skills

Work with your mentor to create a personal plan for your business. Learn how you can pursue your professional goals in the best way with effective marketing, powerful business relationships, and smart business decisions.

Yoga and Spirituality

Learn how the tools of yoga can be combined with spiritual practice and be a spiritual practice in an of itself. Work with your mentor to enhance your spiritual practice and learn how you can support students in their spiritual journey in a way that is safe, inclusive, and powerful.

The Art of Holding Space

October 2022

Become more intentional with the environment you create as a guide and teacher with this facilitation training. Use the tools and philosophy of yoga to guide group experience and discussion in classes, support groups, and other meetings.

Becoming a Teacher Trainer

June 2023 | Self-Paced Course Available

Teaching teachers requires more than good experience teaching yoga. In this one-of-a-kind course, learn the essential skills needed to become a faculty trainer or continuing education provider. Learn the fundamentals of lesson planning, presentation, and classroom management. Study how to teach to different learning styles, guided by modern psychology and the wisdom of Ayurveda. This course is indispensable for anyone wanting to shift their path to guide new teachers in their study of yoga.

Creative Sequencing

March 25-27, 2022

Learn how to build sequences for all levels of students in a variety of yoga styles. We will take a close
look at a range of asana, studying anatomy, body mechanics, and the benefits of each pose. Using this
deep understanding of the purpose and effect of each asana, we will study and practice linking the postures together in a way that is physically and energetically beneficial with the least amount of risk.

Yoga for Pelvic Health, Cycles, & Fertility

April 22-23, 2022

Learn how yoga can support hormonal and pelvic health in this special training program. Through movement, mindfulness, and stress management, we can support endocrine health for better cycles, fertility, menopause, and more. Also included in this course is an in-depth look at the health of the pelvis and pelvic floor and how yoga can help all students maintain better sexual, digestive, and overall health through better pelvic function. The holistic and comprehensive approach to somewhat sensitive topics in this course will be supplemented with techniques for how to present and share the practices you learn with students.

This course is the first week of our Prenatal Master Course, but can be taken independently with 20-hours of credit applied to the specialization section of your 300-hour modular program.

Postpartum Yoga, Reproductive Recovery and Sexual Trauma

August 19-20, 2022

Understand the recovery process after sexual or reproductive trauma, including birth, surgery, and other common traumas that affect these systems. Learn yoga practices that can help at all stages of health and healing and how we can mindfully hold space for students who have been through trauma. The holistic and comprehensive approach to somewhat sensitive topics in this course will be supplemented with techniques for how to present and share the practices you learn with students.

This course is the fifth week of our Prenatal Master Course, but can be taken independently with 20 hours of credit applied to the specialization section of your 300-hour modular program.

Partner Yoga & Manual Adjustments

May 20-22

Join us for this hands-on immersion into partner yoga and adjustments. We’ll explain and demonstrate the fundamentals of partner yoga, including body reading, understanding points on the body for support and traction, weight balancing, and grounding. For the adjustments section, we’ll discuss and practice using the power of touch to provide a supportive, load-bearing, comfortable, experience based on community and trust. We’ll cover understanding the limits of the teacher and practitioner, and to communicate through touch and empathy.

Teaching Power Yoga

Take your teaching and your students’ practice to a higher level with a challenging yoga practice that leads to strength, confidence, and focus. Led by Angela Moore, a yoga therapist and trained Core Power instructor, this training will teach you how to safely practice and teach power yoga. Course components will include power yoga practice philosophy, class sequencing, safety in advanced asana, and teaching power yoga to all levels of students.

Yoga for Athletes

Open to trainers, coaches, and yoga teachers, this training is the perfect opportunity to learn how the practice of yoga can complement athletic regimens of individual athletes and athletic teams. Learn how yoga can improve metabolic function, aide in short and long-term recovery, helps reduce injury and over-stress, and improve focus and mindfulness. This is a can't-miss training for anyone who wants specific tools to use on the field and in the gym to help optimize health and performance.

Experiential Anatomy

June 2022

Over the course of this small-group mentoring program, learn to foster a relationship with the body that is based on a relationship of mutual trust. In our sessions, we will learn and experience practices to help connect us to our bodies energetically, learning to awaken and trust the body's intuition. Through the study of physical and energetic anatomy and somatic practices, you will learn how to work with and care for the body you rely on for your work and life.
