
Continuing Education
We offer short workshops on a variety of topics to help yoga teachers and other professionals continue to learn and enhance their careers and support their own well-being.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all continuing education workshops will be offered online until social distancing requirements are lifted. In accordance with guidelines from Yoga Alliance, all courses attended as live virtual sessions will be eligible for continuing education credit contact hours.
To earn non-contact hour credit and learn at your own pace, please look at our recorded online course options.
These workshops are a part of our 200-hour curriculum, but are open to yoga teachers or advanced students. Each is eligible for continuing education credit through Yoga Alliance.

Sanskrit for Yoga Teachers
Find a greater understanding of the language of yoga with the introductory course on pronunciation an vocabulary of Sanskrit. Learn the basics of this ancient language through the study of mantra and commonly used terms. Topics include explanations of key yoga terminology as well as pronunciation guides and time dedicated to practicing speaking and chanting.

Adaptive Yoga for Pregnancy and Bold Bodies
Learn how to adapt your yoga classes for students with larger bodies and students who are expecting. Learn how to welcome these students into your classes and provide modifications that create space, prevent stress on the joints, and allow students to feel empowered and cared for.

The Art of Language in Teaching
Find your voice as a teacher and learn how to communicate more effectively with your students in this 3-hour dynamic workshop. Through brief lecture, personal reflection, and application, we will explore the many ways that our language and tone affect how we lead.

Teaching Chair Yoga
Learn the basics of yoga you can incorporate a chair in teaching yoga. From completely seated practices to using the chair as a creative prop, there are many ways to take advantage of this everyday piece of furniture to modify and enhance yoga practice.

Adaptive Yoga for Chronic Pain
Learn how to help adapt your language and approach to teaching for students living with chronic pain. The tools of yoga can be extremely useful for managing pain and stress, and you can successfully hold space for these students with the techniques learned in this workshop.

Yoga for Athletic Recovery
Yoga provides excellent health benefits that support the body's innate healing capacity. When an athlete includes yoga in their training recovery plans, they can prevent injury and fatigue, promote healing, and cultivate other skills such as mindfulness that improve overall performance. In this workshop, learn the fundamentals of short and long-term recovery and how yoga can complement any type of athletic training. With sample practices and faculty support, this workshop is ideal for anyone wanting a simple yet comprehensive introduction to yoga for athletic recovery.

Marketing Skills for Yoga Teachers
Join Angela Moore, yoga teacher, educator, and studio owner in a workshop that explores how to best share who you are as a yoga teacher. It is essential for any successful yoga teacher to know who they are, what they want to share, and how to get that message to students. In this self-paced workshop, you will be guided through marketing tools, learn about branding and marketing philosophy, and be guided in developing your marketing face as a teacher.
Adaptations for Flow Yoga
Why is adaptive teaching such an important skill? As a teacher, you don’t know who will walk into your yoga class and what adaptations they need. A great tool is to be able to confidently adapt your class plan to any given population at the last minute. In this workshop, you'll learn some great tools for preparing your classes with adaptations in mind, and understand the fundamentals of adapting your language and how you present variations.
